Abstract

This article shows results of microbiological research and agrochemical properties of vermicompost’s samples witch was created with help of chicken manure and the expediency of it’s use as modern organic fertilizer to improve the humus status and increasing fertility of degraded chernozem soils ofUkraine. Vermicompost contains a well-balanced set of macro- and microelements for plant nutrition and physiologically active substances such as: humates of sodium and potassium. These substances have organic form that protected from leaching and have prolonged actions.Adding of vermicompost in the soil helps to recover the normal soil microflora, increases the total content of humus in the soil and can make the process of mineralization of plant residues in the topsoil more slow, because of the maximum fixation of humic substances and stimulate microbiological processes of humification. Ecological advantages of vermicompost use is its hygienic safety, namely, the absence of pathogens, helminth eggs and microbial pathogens of crop specie’s diseases.
